Meet Chef Dan Meath – Bringing Creativity & Passion to Central Austin Dining

Chef Dan Meath loves to experiment with the textures and flavors of Austin cuisine. He has spent more than 20 years in the culinary industry where he’s demonstrated an unwavering passion for creative display and inspired flavors in his menus and his life. When it comes to the Texas-style offerings with a twist, that TEXTURE food & drink serves up daily; Chef Meath has driven the menu with adventure in mind, cooking up great flavors with a side of fun.

After training at the Culinary Institute of America in New York, Chef Meath landed in Houston where he worked at Ruggles Grill and Fuzzi’s Restaurant. He then moved on to hotels, with his longest tenure being the creative lead behind the DoubleTree by Hilton Austin’s culinary team, creating banquet and catering menus for large-scale events to intimate gatherings and combining his extensive knowledge to develop sophisticated beverage pairings. Chef Meath now gets his chance to try out exciting new dishes at TEXTURE and elevating central Austin’s dining scene with lunch, dinner and late-night bites daily.
